Virtual Annual Shareholders Meeting

We are so excited to have our members join us on August 19th, 2020, for our virtual annual meeting! During the meeting, we will review the credit union’s annual report, introduce the 2020 Board of Directors, and recognize our 2020 Jack Jenkins, Joel Wallace, and Don Starling Scholarship winners. The following candidates have been nominated for CFCU’s Board of Directors:

- Jason Raines
- Brad Rivers

Each attendee will be submitted into our door prize drawing! There will be five winners of $50.00 visa gift cards! These individuals will be chosen throughout the meeting.

NEW CFCU Mobile App Coming Soon!

The newly redesigned CFCU mobile app will allow CFCU members to have access to their accounts quickly, anytime and anywhere. CFCU will announce when the app is available, and details of the new app features soon! 
COVID-19 Phase Opening Information 

Carolina Federal Credit Union's phase 2 opening includes allowing members to enter the lobby to conduct transactions at the teller line, with member service representatives, and loan officers, with no more than ten members in the lobby at a time. Check out our video on Facebook, here, that gives more details about the safe practices we are taking to keep our members safe! 

Senior/high-risk hours will be on Wednesdays from 10 AM - 11 AM. We ask members who are not above the age of 65 or have no underlying medical conditions, to please come before or after this hour on Wednesdays.

Miracle Jeans Day!

Carolina Federal Credit Union is partnering with Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) to raise donations for Levine's Children Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Please go to our link here to donate or stop by the credit union to help us reach our goal! The CFCU staff will be going casual for the kids on September 9th, in support of CU4kids!

Credit Unions for Kids is the brand under which America’s Credit Unions raise funds for their local children’s hospital. Over the past 23 years, credit unions have raised an incredible $185 million. This has allowed credit unions to make an immense impact on millions of children every single year. 100% of the donations go directly to the children’s hospital in our community.

Apple Pay and Google Pay Coming August 18th!

CFCU will be adding Google Pay and Apple Pay to our MasterCard Debit Cards on August 18th! Apple Pay and Google Pay will allow members to make payments in person, in apps, and on the web while having their debit card stored on their mobile device. 
Contactless Credit Cards Now Available!

Carolina Federal Credit Union Visa Credit Cards are now contactless! Each new card ordered or renewed will now automatically have contactless payment available. Contactless payment will allow members to have no physical contact when making a payment by tapping or waving their card above the payment reader. If you have any questions about contactless payments, please let us know!

Budget Word of the Month: Youth Savings

Here are a couple of ways we can empower our youth to save: 
  • Develop healthy financial habits early
    • Long-term healthy money habits begin to develop in childhood, as early as preschool.
  • Create opportunities to save regularly
    •  Access to financial education programs and savings accounts provides opportunities to develop positive long-term financial behaviors.
  • Take a hands-on approach 
    • Students who at an early age participate in financial education programs that include real-world financial experiences are more likely to develop positive attitudes about money.
