The Leadership Council and the Gathering Planning Group of The Men's Council send our best to you on the season. We hope, given the difficult nature of last year, that you and your family are well and that 2021 will be healthier and give us opportunities to be together in person.
Now of all times though, it's even more important that our community continues its connections. In addition to our virtual Gathering in April, we're offering a free virtual pre-Gathering workshop on January 30th at 1pm EST. We'll se a video with Warren Farrel and have plenty of time for open discussion. To register for the workshop, click here. We hope you'll join us.
Free Virtual Gathering of Men, April 24-25, 2021
One of our core functions is continuing the North Carolina Gathering of Men. Last April we had to postpone the Gathering at Camp Chestnut Ridge due to the pandemic. Instead, we offered a two day connection for men through the Zoom platform that included stories, poetry, music but primarily the opportunity in break out rooms for small groups. We are planning a similar event for April 2021, this time including workshops. If you have an interest in helping to plan the next Gathering along with doing the work of The Men’s Council, the planning committee will be meeting monthly via Zoom. Contact Larry Sorkin at sorkinwood@gmail.com to get on the meeting list.

It’s ironic that in a time of crisis and isolation, we are more in need of community than ever. Charlotte has monthly open meetings that now include men from other parts of the country. For more information, contact Larry Sorkin at sorkinwood@gmail.com. Additionally, there are monthly open meetings on various topics in Greensboro on the second Tuesday of each month. For more information contact Jim Stinson at phyndr@gmail.com or cellphone/text: 336-337-2508.
