"Few people come to real estate with more managerial experience than Gabriel “Gaby” Almog. As an electronics engineer, he founded and was CEO of several electronic and plastic manufacturing companies in his native Brazil, overseeing more than 600 direct and indirect employees and vendors.

Gaby and Alyssa came to Marina del Rey in 2016. Both had been involved in property management in Brazil and Florida, and made the decision to turn their careers toward real estate, now serving Greater Los Angeles.

When they’re not working, Gaby and Alyssa enjoy each other’s company, whether watching movies, biking, (mostly) ketogenic cooking, or Israeli folk dancing. They also give back to their community, volunteering for cleanups at a nearby beach or along the banks of Ballona Creek."

Buying and Selling In A Mixed Market

What we’re seeing in the Los Angeles area right now is what you might call a “mixed market,” with a lot of volatility and variation depending on the home in question.  So what does that mean for buyers and sellers?

Because of the current market conditions, buyers can be more selective now but they still need to be ready to act quickly when a property presents itself. With mortgage rates still relatively steady, buyers remain engaged in home searches. 
Discerning buyers are looking for the same thing so they need to be focused and not fazed that the market is correcting. Keep in mind, the market correction may not apply to every property. It’s a good idea to buy with intent by being selective and waiting for a property that fits all your needs rather than settling and risking the potential of buyer’s remorse. It’s a great time to buy and there are still deals to be had!

As for sellers, they need to be doing their homework right now. Instead of rushing to put a property on the market, it’s a good idea to study comparisons to get a better idea what the market will bear. Whether you’re considering listing low to attract more buyers or testing the upper limits of the market depends on the quality of the home and whether it’s in need of any upgrades or repairs. It’s crucial to go into the listing with a solid strategy in mind. We’ve been here before, and we can help you get the most possible value out of your home.
