Heads up
DLNR has given PGV permission to work on one of their wells
PGV is bringing in 20 or so people for "the project"
we believe the work will commence before Christmas

I hope every one is doing as well as can be expected with all the uncertainty and adversity happening in Pahoa and Puna right now. I have not kept up with the updates the last few months for obvious reasons, however PPA has remained active.
PPA is currently engaged with the County, DOH, EPA, and PGV on regulatory issues. We will be following the work PGV is doing and please call us if you are impacted. I also want to thank everyone very much for your past support.
We would appreciate your help again if you can, this time to make sure as many people as possible are aware of our forum.

Our panel of experts will be meeting at ground zero in Hawaii's residential renewable energy revolution
- Lower Puna -
Lower Puna is one of the largest off grid and most sustainably progressive communities in the state. We started on this path many years ago partly out of necessity because we do not have "the grid" in many areas of Puna. The result is we have become a leader in renewable power innovation, a model and laboratory for energy and sustainability alternatives.
I am very happy that the forum will be at Kalani Honua for the second year. With their alternative business model, architectural designs, building materials, and renewable energy concepts Kalani has been an innovator, and leader in commercial, environmentally friendly, and sustainable concepts in Puna for many years.
Kalani has an impressive and growing renewable power capability in the large solar arrays that they use to help power their campus, a laboratory and working model for commercial applications of renewable energy, and alternative designs.
We will be talking about what's happening on the ground in Puna and Hawaii right now in terms of new energy technology and working models, and how that may effect us in Puna when the electric grid is impacted by the lava flow.
Please help us get the word out, join us if you can, and bring your friends.
Mahalo
