Catechesis in Phase 2 with Heightened Alert - 22 July 2021

We refer MCCY’s advisory, “PHASE TWO (HEIGHTENED ALERT) TIGHTER MEASURES FOR RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES” dated 20 July 2021. The Office for Catechesis would like catechetical ministries to observe the following from the period 22 Jul to 18 Aug in addition to what was released in our earlier announcement:

1. Please continue catechesis sessions online (as scheduled) and defer face-to-face activities till after 18 Aug unless otherwise notified.
2. Engage parents by letting them know of the changes and encourage them to be involved in their child(ren)'s faith journey especially in these times where ties to the parish for this age group are diminished,
3. Please consult with your parish priest and parish safe management team should there be a necessity for any religious rites (sacraments) to be carried out during this period.
4. The medium of delivery for all OFC courses is being reevaluated. Should there be changes,  participants will be informed of the outcome via email at least 2 days before the commencement of each session.
