Mardi Gras in Shreveport
The Krewe of Centaur XXVI Mardi Gras Parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Let the good times roll! Shreveport-Bossier is preparing to welcome visitors for several of the largest Mardi Gras parades in North Louisiana, including: Krewe of Centaur XXVI, 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18; Krewe of Barkus and Meoux, 12 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19; Krewe of Gemini XXVIII, 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25 and Krewe of Highland XXII, 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26. In addition to the parades, a wide variety of festive events including float-loading parties, elaborate masked balls and more are open to the public during Carnival season.

The best way to find out about upcoming Mardi Gras events is by visiting www.SBFunGuide.com, where a special Mardi Gras event category makes it easy to search for upcoming events and the “My Favorites” tool can be used to build and print custom itineraries. “Mardi Gras Roadshow” Takes Carnival Season to Tyler, Texas


Residents of East Texas are invited to the Shreveport-Bossier Mardi Gras Roadshow, a free party that will be hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, Stanley’s Famous Pit Bar-B-Q and Visit Tyler at Stanley’s Famous Pit Bar-B-Q in Tyler, Texas on Friday, Jan. 27. The evening will begin at 7 p.m. and will include live jazz music, free slices of traditional Louisiana king cake, Mardi Gras beads, Mardi Gras-themed giveaways and more. All ages are welcome but guests under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The purpose of this event is to say “thank you” to East Texans for their support of Mardi Gras celebrations in Shreveport-Bossier throughout the years. Guests at the party can also pick up event calendars and information on upcoming Mardi Gras festivities in Shreveport-Bossier. Representatives of Shreveport-Bossier’s parading Mardi Gras krewes will also be in attendance to meet and take photos with partygoers.
