Ecology and evolutionary biology Ph.D. student Lily Lewis has been selected as one of 22 recipients of the 2013 national Robert and Patricia Switzer Foundation fellowship for her work in conservation and environmental biology. Read more.
James Dixon and Till Frank of the Department of Psychology have received $800,000 from the National Science Foundation under their INSPIRE program, which emphasizes problems at the intersection of traditional disciplines. Their work will explore the origins of perception and action in nonliving things.
Engineering physics students Daniel Violette and Michael Cantara have been awarded the James B. Willet Memorial Scholarship Award and a USRA Education Scholarship, respectively, from the Universities Space Research Association. Each student was awarded for their demonstrated interest in space-related physics and engineering.
