Gippsland Sports Forum

Discover why women are the secret to your sport's survival -  30 November, Traralgon.

We are proud to support this great event with some fantastic local partner organisations. The focus of the forum is to empower local sporting clubs to implement and strengthen policies, practices and the promotion of women and gender equity in sport in Gippsland. Keynotes Sam Squiers, Kate Roffey and Jane Oakley.

Andrea and Karen recently presented the Make the Link campaign and the Gippsland Preventon of Violecne against Women Strategy at the Australian Institute of Criminology 'Crime Prevention and Communities' Conference in Brisbane.  We have received some great exposure and feedback.


Respectful Relationships in schools and early childhood education settings - tackling family violence.

The Government is investing $21.8 million over two years to roll out a holistic approach to Respectful Relationships across schools and early childhood services. This approach will support the delivery of respectful relationships education, through the new Victorian Curriculum across all year levels.

Your school can partner with a Leading School, drawing on their experience and expertise in Respectful Relationships. Successful Partner Schools will receive $4,000 in their first year of implementation and commence Respectful Relationships from mid-2017.  Applications are now open. Leading and Partner schools can apply to participate via an online expression of interest process.    

Applications close on 20 November 2016.

We have confirmed the new 'MATE' Train the Trainer (formerly Mentors in Violence Prevention) a leadership program focused on preventing all forms of violence, will be back in Gippsland 28-30 March 2017.
