Additional goings-on
  • Recently we held our annual RETHINK Contest and Junk Art Event during the SC Share Fair/STEAMosphere at Irmo High School. Habitat Restore staff and volunteers helped families make Junk Art Bird Nesters (because everybody needs a home). Other members of our group served as judges for the RETHINK Contest.
  • EdVenture Museum hosted their second GLEANERS Event in their Maker Space as a fun way to encourage local agencies, businesses and citizens to collect fun junk for art projects and inventions. Participants made jewelry from computer parts.
  • The State Museum hosted a recycling class taught by members of our Midlands Recycling Group for Home School Families. After rave reviews, we have been invited back to teach a Recycling Class to Home School High School students in September!
