Happy Friday, Orlando.

And happy National Donut Day to my fellow fried-and-flaky-loving friends. Tell me, where are you celebrating the occasion?

Will it be with the french toast special from The Salty Donut, the new Big POPpa from Shaka Doughnuts (wash it down with some Shaka shaved ice after!), an order of these rainbow doughnuts from Orlandough, this brisket covered beauty from Smoke & Donuts, the birthday cake doughnut from The Glass Knife, these ube glazed babes from Dochi, or how about this grilled cheese donut sandwich from the new Everglazed at Disney Springs?

Whew. My mouth is legit watering as I type this out. So many doughnuts in this city, so little time. Duck Donuts, Dunkin', Krispy Kreme, and Donut King are even giving 'em away.

Let me know if you ever want to go on a doughnut crawl. I wouldn’t not be down. 😉

Okay, enough about doughnuts — let’s talk about what's on the horizon and what's happening this weekend, shall we?

Did I mention I love doughnuts? This is one of five I think I tried at Smoke & Donuts at A La Cart with my girlfriend Kayla. As they say, #noregrets. 📸: | Wanna see your photo here? Tag either #pulptown or @pulptown on Instagram to be featured as our IG of the Day!

What Orlando is talking about

🖼 My favorite annual event at the Orlando Museum of Art is back. The Florida Prize in Contemporary Art exhibit opens tonight and runs through Aug. 22. It’s when OMA handpicks 10 of the state’s most progressive artists, puts their art on display, and then rewards the winner with $20,000. The preview party is scheduled for tonight at 6 p.m. Grab your tickets here. (Orlando Museum of Art

🎶 Orlando’s favorite soul man Eugene Snowden is headlining a summer shindig at Carlotta’s Culture Park tomorrow. Also on hand: Chase Shelle Duo, food by JC’s Soul Food Truck, and drinks by Will’s Pub. Tickets are $12 ahead of time or $18 at the door. Showtime is 6:30 p.m. (Bungalower

👟 Lace-up and run for a cause: The Fifth Annual CommUNITY Run is happening tomorrow. It’s going down at Wadeview Park (or virtually if you’d rather) at 7 a.m. and will benefit the National Pulse Memorial & Museum and the OnePulseFoundation. The run starts at 7 a.m. (Orlando Weekly)

🤠 The Silver Spurs Rodeo returns to Kissimmee this weekend in its 146th year of bull riding and barrel racing. Tickets are $20 or free if you’re under 10. (Orlando Weekly

🛍 Curry Ford West is hosting its first-ever 'Little Entrepreneur' Market tomorrow. From lemonade to jewelry, there will be 20 young vendors on site selling their wares. Support our area youth by heading to the market between 1 and 5 p.m. this Saturday, rain or shine. (Curry Ford West on Instagram

🗺 Saturday is also National Trails Day. And you know what Central Florida has a lot of? Trails. 😉 If hiking, paddling, or biking are your jam, then get outside and hit the Little Big Econ State Forest, Silver Springs, or the Seminole Wekiva Trail. Just don't forget your sunscreen. And maybe your rain gear — it's looking like it might be a wet one. (Orlando Sentinel)
