From March, 5th to 7th will be held for the first time, the Forum d'Avignon Bilbao, on the theme "The city as a cultural ecosystem." There is still time to register. Follow the guide !
Since its revival, the city of Bilbao manages to associate cultural excellence and economic activities, technologies and creativity. The culture remains a driving element of its development to strengthen its world fame of a creative city. It is thus in Bilbao where it is advisable to wonder on what establishes a cultural ecosystem associating public and private actors, institutions, citizens and consumers …

In the western cultural ecosystem, the ditch(gap) between public and deprived spheres rest a key stake for the financing of the cultural action. This dichotomy seems more and more old-fashioned while cooperations multiplies.

The 2014 Forum d'Avignon Bilbao program leans on international concrete experiences to estimate public / private cooperations, the role of artists, creators, cities as cultural driving forces for development and welfare in Europe.
