Welcome to the eighth issue of GID’s Sustainability Newsletter. This edition highlights both GID’s and Windsor Communities’ recent sustainability achievements, as well as provides updates on our existing programs.

SPOTLIGHT: FITWEL CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE PROPERTY 

GID and Windsor Communities proudly earned 2-Star Fitwel Certification for the Element 47 property in Denver, Colorado, due to exceptional performance in health & wellness. The property was recognized by The Center for Active Design and Fitwel for the highest score in the Multifamily Residential v2.1 Category in 2019.  

Fitwel is a building rating system that provides guidelines to optimize occupant health and wellness based on impact categories that create valuable and lasting benefits for building occupants. Learn More About Fitwel

UPCOMING SPRING EVENTS

EARTH DAY
Wednesday, April 22nd, marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, a worldwide movement to celebrate the beauty of our earth and inspire action to preserve our environment. Due to the recent coronavirus global pandemic, it will be the first Digital Earth Day, a global digital mobilization carried by the Earth Day Network. 

The global conversation will be tracked by #EarthDay2020 and #EARTHRISE. Live coverage will be provided by the Earth Day Network from its social media account (@earthdaynetwork). Keep up with earthday.org for more digital actions such as virtual protests, social media campaigns, online teach-ins and more. This is year’s theme is “Climate Action”. Learn More

LEED GREEN ASSOCIATE TRAINING
