Who are these hippie freaks?

June 21, 2015

Yep, Bill and Grace heading off on their honeymoon, June 21, 1975!

Celebrating 40 years of God's faithfulness to us in our marriage.

How could it be? The time has flown by!  So grateful for the love of Christ that binds us together. Some of you were with us on that hot, longest day of the year at Calvary Church, in Charlotte, NC. We'd do it all over again!

What happenend after that?

After  three years of seminary in Denver, CO and five years of pastoring in Collinsville, IL, we headed to Ethiopia with SIM to respond to need, to proclaim the gospel, and to equip the indigenous church. And now we have the joy to see what God has done and tell that story across North America to motivate and mobilize others to consider mission as a viable option and path for their lives.
This is also what has happened!  Some multiplication has occured! What a thrill at this stage to see our kids walking with the Lord and serving Him around the globe! Then there are the ten grandkids. In Africa we call this a "tribe"!

What has happened more recently?

Since coming back from Ethiopia and Thailand, the past several months have led us to great opportunities to preach and minister in California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas and North Carolina. Numbers have expressed interest in serving our Lord in cross-cultural capacities. We are currently working on trips back to Ethiopia for September 8-18 and for February 2016.

Praise and Prayer

  • Rejoice with us as we celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Wow, it is worth rejoicing about!
  • Pray for renewed commitment to one another and our Savior as we press on to make Him known.
  • Pray for preparation of heart and logistics for upcoming meetings in Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Nebraska, New York and Ethiopia.
