More Fatal Truck Collisions in
Dallas-Fort Worth Area, Experts Say

If it seems like there are more fatal truck collisions on the road lately, you’re not imagining it. According to a recent report in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, fatal car accidents involving commercial trucks have surged in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in the last two years.

The combination of staggering growth in the D-FW area and a shortage of truck drivers has resulted in more fatal crashes involving commercial vehicles, including 18-wheelers.
According to the Star-Telegram:

When overall traffic plummeted at the onset of the pandemic, local transit experts like Michael Morris expected road safety to improve.

“We were making steady improvements previous to COVID, and then when we hit March 2020, somewhat to our surprise, the numbers turned around,” said Morris, director of transportation at the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

100+ Five-Star Reviews

I was in a crash July 29, 2020. My car was totaled, I had a TBI, and I didn’t have a clue what to do. I called and spoke with Linda at Jason Stephens Law firm. She put my worries at ease and walked us through the process. They did everything they could to help us get everything taken care of. I love Linda. She was ALWAYS available and Jason was quick to jump on the phone any time I needed any explanation. We knew what was going on the whole time. I appreciate them so much.

Confidential Settlement in
18-Wheeler Fatality

Two trucks driving on either side of the road
We secured a confidential settlement when our client's loved one was tragically killed in an 18 wheeler crash. The driver of the 18 wheeler was being pushed by the trucking company to complete his run as fast as possible and so the driver decided to pass another 18 wheeler in a no-passing zone on a curve hitting our client's loved one head-on.

The trucking company sent a “Rapid Response Team” to the scene to try to influence and skew the investigation. The driver then lied about how the collision occurred and the company tried to hide a key witness.

But, by knowing where and how to dig for the information, Jason Stephens and his firm were able to retrieve extensive data from the truck and its electronic devices that recreated what really happened exposing the driver and trucking company’s attempted coverup and their negligence in causing the crash.

At Stephens Law, we have the knowledge, experience, and dedication to expose the truth and to achieve the justice our clients deserve.
