Cancer Awareness Campaign

Between the 4th and 11th February, EPSA carried at European level the Cancer Awareness Campaign, also named "Purple Week". EPSA and its members highlighted the importance of World Cancer Day (04.02.) by informing the general public about early detection and ways to prevent this crucial disease. The topic of this years' campaign was "Prevention by Detection: the sooner the better" and the main activities consisted of: sharing materials, creating flashmobs at local level, joining the #EPSAchallenge and supporting the campaign using the Twibbon frame. The event was even promoted on worldcancerday.org!

Purple Week actions will be also shared over a press release and our Social Services and Public Health Coordinator will evaluate the results after receiving reports from
 local level implementation.

We would like to thank all Public Health Coordinators that got themselves involved in the campaign and came up with wonderful ideas for this years' event!

This year representatives from pharmacy, medical, psychology, dentistry and nursing students have agreed to collaborate on issues, subjects and policies that they share a common interest in.
