It's a Science thing

There is no pharmacy, nor EPSA Autumn Assembly without Science.

The topic of the 11th EPSA Autumn Assembly in Hradec Králové was The patients in the centre of healthcare – from lab to the citizens.

Part of the programme included a field-trip where enthusiastic participants from the congress went back to the primitive times of pharmacy and watched its evolution in the Museum of Pharmacy at the Kuks Hospital. They were guided through different authentic halls exposing both very simple manual machines as well as more developed automatic ones. The realisation of the quick evolution of our profession is worth a thought for what will bring us in the future!

Edition 1 from Volume 2 of the EPSA Students' Science Publication was also published during this congress. For an exclusive look into this publication click

Public Health Campaign: Hypertension in the Streets

When people find out that they have high blood pressure, many are puzzled, as they do not feel anything. However, hypertension is a silent disease that has many repercussions since it has a negative effect on many different organs.

EPSA went out on a mission to raise awareness about this illness with the Czechs at the train station since 35% of them suffer from it. Participants in the successful campaign measured the blood pressure of people at the station and gave out personalized advice on the management of the disease and also handed out leaflets.
