ANTIGUA CARNIVAL IN FULL SWING

The 2017 edition of Antigua Carnival kicked off last Friday, July 28th and continues from 3pm today with the Jr. Carnival Parade
, followed later in the afternoon by the young rising stars of the festival showing off their talent in the Jr. Calypso & Soca Monarch competitions
at Carnival City, ARG.
The ACB George "Nugget" Joseph Panorama competition
kicks off with sweet pulsating pan music at 8pm on Friday, followed by the highly anticipated and exciting FLOW Party Monarch competition
on Saturday, at 9pm. The face-off sees crowd favourites such as Tian Winter, Ricardo Drue, Claudette "CP" Peters and other talented artistes vie for the coveted titles in the Groovy and Jumpy segments of the competition. Great entertainment continues on Sunday at 8pm, as nine Calypso finalists battle for the throne against reigning monarch, Queen Thalia in the Wadadli Beer Calypso Monarch competition
Whether you live here or you're on holiday, J'ouvert morning
is not to be missed! Join a troupe to experience the largest street party with live music, dancing and drinking until sunrise, or set your alarm for 3am and head out to see the exciting jump-up, and Judging of the Bands
from 12pm. After eleven days of great entertainment, the festivities culminate on Tuesday, August 8th with the spectacular Parade of the Bands
at 12pm and Last Lap
from 7pm until midnight.
