Antigua Carnival under the theme “Revel in Greatness” reaches its climax with a melting pot of cultures, nonstop reveling, fierce competitions, and flamboyant costumes from tonight to the 7th of August.

Tonight – Thursday, August 2nd, the gates to Carnival City open at 8pm for the 2018 LIAT Caribbean Melting Pot. The cook-up with local and regional artistes features King of Soca Machel Montano, Jamaica’s Dancehall sensation Jahmiel, Secreto – representing the Spanish community, and other top entertainers such as Ricardo Drue and Claudette “CP” Peters. Friday, August 3rd sees nine finalists going up against reigning Calypso Monarch, King Zacari in the Wadadli Beer Calypso Monarch Competition. Who will wear the crown? Find out from 8pm in Carnival City.

Intoxicating pan music – many bands – one stage! The rivalry to capture the ACB Panorama title begins on Saturday, August 4th at 8pm in Carnival City. On Sunday, August 5th – Get ready to party as the bacchanal begins with the FLOW Party Monarch Competition. Witness the sensational battle for the Groovy and Jumpy Monarch titles from 8pm in Carnival City.

Make it a night of nonstop reveling. After the party monarch show and before the crack of dawn on Monday morning, head down the road to join the J’Ouvert session – the early morning ritual that ushers in Carnival Monday on August 6th. Drink and jump behind the music trucks through the streets of St. John's until the sun comes up. The exciting street party starts at 3am and ends at 10am. Take a rest to rejuvenate, and head out back to watch the dazzling mas troupes and Judging of the Bands at 2pm on Factory Road & Parliament Drive.

Tuesday, August 7th is The Parade of Bands and Last Lap. Catch the final leg of this year's carnival on Factory Road & Parliament Drive from 12pm. Make sure you soak up the music and have lots of fun at the last jump-up.session which starts at 9pm, as on the stroke of midnight, Antigua Carnival – the spectacular ten day festival officially comes to an end.
