Hello <<First Name>>!
I hope everyone is having an enjoyable August. Thanks to our Kitten Days of Summer promotion, we've had a record number of cat adoptions. To celebrate, we're extending Kitten Days of Summer until Labor Day! We've waived the adoption fees for all cats under the age of 1. All PAWS kittens and cats are microchipped, up-to-date on shots, tested for key illnesses, and spayed/neutered. Kittens also receive their first vet visit to a Centre County vet free. Cats who are one year and older are PAWS' Five Dollar Felines, meaning you can welcome them into your home for just five dollars!
Centre County PAWS is going to be heading down to the State College Borough Municipal Building for our 2nd Pit Stop! Check us out Monday, August 15th from 11:30-1:30 We'll be bringing some of our most lovable pit bulls to meet and play with people on their lunch break!
I hope you enjoy this month's Volunteer Newsletter!

Jill's new name is Lilly. She gets along well with Stanley, Leona, and Thelma-our 3 other cats. Leona has taken the role of mama cat with Lilly. Thelma is approximately the same age as Lilly & loves to play. Lilly really gets along with everything including our Bull Terrier & Boston. She enjoys looking out the window at the many birds. The vet said she is doing well, she's just a small cat. She loves to cuddle on our laps. She has adjusted well to our hectic household. We love her & she completes our household. She likes to sleep in her pink bed in our finished basement. She enjoys a little solitude during the day.

Millie and I are doing great! She’s actually incredibly smart—training her has been extremely easy. We are learning how to do all of her commands in different environments with different levels of distractions and she’s been learning very quickly. I got her a very long leash to use at the park nearby when we play so that she gets a chance to run around and stretch her legs. At home, she likes to lay down and beg for the cats to come down and play with her, but
they are still too wary of her. On the bright side, at least Millie isn’t chasing them!…
I attached a picture of us taking a walk (her favorite thing—she likes to go exploring a lot). She loves to carry sticks around!

Our Tumbleweed is doing fantastic! He has fit into our family perfectly - including his canine brother and sister! He is the "whole package" - he loves to play, but can be a lap cat, too. The very best thing about Tumbleweed (but we call him Charlie, now - I call him Charlie T.) - is how he is with our 1 year old grandsons. They adore him, and he lets them pet him-then he just sits by them and watches them play! His first vet visit with Dr. Ritchie went well. He does have a heart murmur that we will keep an eye on - no symptoms at the present time.
I want to thank everyone at PAWS-everyone was so kind and helpful, and the facility is just A #1 in my book - I highly recommend it to everyone! Thanks for checking on Tumbleweed, just another show of how caring everyone is at your facility! - Patty

Jax (or "Jackson" as we now call him!) is doing so great! His adjustment has been so smooth and he is the perfect fit for our family! We could not be happier with him. And we think he loves us too!
