Dear Friends,

This year’s campaign is a little different than usual as we respond to the crisis along the border between Myanmar and Thailand. We have seen a large increase in requests for support from our partners as they step up and help not just those fleeing violence but also the local communities who, though they have very little themselves, are willing to help those with even less.

Your donation not only provides food and shelter but also funds those giving the care and support needed for the families and lone children fleeing their homes.

Please note that any donation we receive will be channeled only to those projects directly supporting internally displaced people (IDP) fleeing the violence. You can see more about some of these projects below.

Thoo Mwe Community School

Providing food for the influx of children fleeing violence who have been welcomed by this local community school.

Rice Support at Kayah State IDP Camp

Providing rice for the most desperate 104 families who have fled to the area (large families, physically disabled, chronically ill or single parent families).

Loi Sam Sip IDP Camp School

Supporting teachers and students at the IDP camp’s school with small salaries, food and school supplies.

4 Karenni IDP Schools

Providing food, equipment and teachers' salaries for 4 schools in a conflict area (1.000+ students and 40+ teachers).

Thank you from all of us at Philanthropy Connections and from all those who will be helped by your generosity!
