Volunteer, participate in Garden activities and attend events, and connect with us!

Elizabeth Street Garden thanks its dedicated volunteers and supporters and wishes you each a beautiful Thanksgiving. We are thankful you have joined with us on our journey to preserve the Garden as a unique public green, open space, build community and improve the quality of life in our neighborhood.

Wednesdays through Sundays, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Volunteers help to keep the Garden open during the sunniest and warmest hours of the day, year round. Please continue to visit and enjoy our neighborhood oasis.

Volunteer Orientation — Saturday, Dec. 6, Noon.
Enjoy an hour in the sun.... Learn how easy it is to share one hour a month to volunteer and help keep the Garden gates open for our community.

Thanks to Lovely Day for generously offering hot refreshment to volunteers during shifts.

The Garden continues its successful food drive launched at last month's Harvest Festival to benefit our neighbor The Bowery Mission. The Mission's demand for meals has increased, and its food pantry is in urgent need of donations. Please drop off canned vegetables and dry goods at the Garden during Dec. hours: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, weather permitting. Thank you.
See you in the Garden.
