Setting The Stage To Tell Your Story

So, what have we been up to since January's newsletter?  Alongside our sister company, H & X Technologies, we've completed an exciting project for Czarnowski @ the 2020 Genesis Golf Invitational.  Tournament host Tiger Woods and an invitation-only field competed at the iconic Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, CA - February 10-16 - we brought Czarnowski's vision to life for the Genesis Skybox Lounge, which overlooked the course.

Hats off to TLSP's Bobby Glowacki, for his unique lighting concepts and design, and a million thank yous to Zip Zembinski, our man on the scene for weeks on end - Zip brought the entire production together AND as he always does, he provided us with some killer shots of the finished product, check 'em out below!

TLS Productions, Inc. is also out on the road with the MercyMe 20/20 Tour AND TOBYMAC's 2020 Hits Deep Tour, providing world-class entertainment rigging equipment and services.  Check out some awesome images below!

And on top of all of the above, TLSP and H & X are in the midst of prepping for the Topcon and Astec Industries booths at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, happening March 10th through 14th in Las Vegas - where together we'll be providing lighting, rigging, audio, and LED video equipment and services!

TLSP and H & X are also loading in tomorrow to The Work Truck Show happening March 3rd through 6th in Indianapolis where together we'll be providing LED video, rigging and audio equipment and services for the RAM Commercial booth.

And last, but CERTAINLY NOT least - we've got our eyes set on the 2020 VEX Robotics World Championships happening April 22nd through the 28th in Louisville, KY.  If you saw any of the images or videos from last year's show, you know we'll be providing a feast for the eyes and ears!  Check out a teaser video via Facebook below!

TLS Productions, Inc. Sponsors Team RUSH

All of us at TLS Productions, Inc. are proud to announce our sponsorship of Team RUSH!  Team RUSH is a high school robotics team located in Clarkston, Michigan. RUSH stands for Respect, Unity, Spirit and Heart. It is a part of the FIRST Robotics program (they call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind). Almost 4,000 teams with more than 91,000 students and 25,000 mentors from 27 countries build robots under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense time limit. The teams of students are challenged to design a team "brand”, hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-sized robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get.

TLS Productions, Inc. supplied the truss structure pictured below, which will serve as part of center stage at each competition!

Stay tuned to our newsletter each month for images and updates from Team RUSH!  And in the meantime - check out the latest Team RUSH newsletter linked to the image below.  Go Team RUSH!

TLS Productions, Inc. & Entertainment Design and Technology at Eastern Michigan University - February 2020
Contributed by John Charles, Technical Director, Eastern Michigan University Theatre

My Friends in the Entertainment Industry –

One of the tenets of my life’s philosophy is to always leave a place better than I found it.  I hope I can say, as I look forward to new adventures after my 37 years of service to EMU, that I am leaving the university a better place than it was when I arrived in 1983.

One of my major objectives has always been to improve the audience experience of our performance events, understanding that people aren’t just enjoying a show, they are building an experience, from the time that they first purchase that ticket, to the time they sit down with friends, full of anticipation, to the time they get together afterward to talk about what they felt and saw.

To that end, I am asking you to please join me in supporting Eastern Michigan University, School of Communication, Media & Theatre Arts effort to replace and upgrade the seats in both Quirk and Sponberg Theatres, by donating to the S.I.T. (Seats In Theatres) campaign.

The seats that have been specified for each space are beautiful and a tremendous improvement over the existing seats (both theatres are still using the original seats installed in them).  They will afford our audiences more room and far more comfort, making for a far more enjoyable experience.

I imagine us, as audience members, feeling the excitement and anticipation of walking into a beautiful theatre space with luxurious new seats, red upholstery against the warm cherry wood panels of Quirk, and rusty red against the warm brick texture in Sponberg, along with a newly epoxied, smooth floor, ready to experience an extraordinary show.

I would very much appreciate any help you can give to make this vision a reality.

Thank you for making my time at EMU a beautiful and fulfilling experience.

See you at the theatre.

JC
