Application Assisters & CHWs: Register Now for KPCA Spring Conference!
Clarification on Final Rule re: CAC recertifications: You do not need to recertify your CAC organizational status via CMS since KY is a SBM-FP and KY runs their own CAC program via KHBE. If recertifications do need to occur, you will receive correspondence directly from KHBE. Questions? Ask Whitney.

Kentucky HEALTH: Citizen Connect 101 Video
See Video Here (last clip on the list)

Citizen Connect is how consumers can track SNAP and KY HEALTH benefits. The video is around 15 minutes long. The video shows how to login and navigate Citizen Connect, overview of My Rewards account and how to complete a course on Citizen Connect to earn virtual dollars on My Rewards Account.

Important to note:
  • New users must set up a KOG account, go to benefind, then go to Citizen Connect
    • “New user”: have not created a KOG account or been to Citizen Connect before
    • If an Application Assister initiated a benefind/Medicaid application on behalf of a consumer, the consumer will need to go through the process of setting up a KOG account.
  • Consumers should write down their username and password once established (very important!)
  • Qualifying KY HEALTH recipients are automatically enrolled in My Rewards and/or Citizen Connect applications after setting up their KOG account.
  • April 1: Can begin earning My Rewards virtual dollars by taking courses in Citizen Connect
  • July 1: Continue earning and begin using My Rewards virtual dollars
Best Practice:
Front line staff should make themselves familiar with this process and what the screens look like. Start encouraging/helping consumers set up their KOG accounts now, so they can begin tracking their My Rewards and complete courses to earn more virtual dollars.

Please note: If consumers wish to earn credit for watching these videos, they will need to login to their own Citizen Connect account.
