Thanks & Merry Christmas

As we approach the end of the year we thought we'd share with our friends and supporters some pictures of the year. As the saying goes 'a picture tells a thousand words'.

We hope you can feel our joy and know your support makes a huge difference in the lives of Burmese Migrants here on the Thai Burma Border.

Education and Health are truly the best gifts we can give to the poor.

Thanks for 2015. Merry Christmas and a very Happy 2016!

From the Marist Team

The greatest gift: education

The story behind the pictures is rather sad. Only 20% of Burmese Migrant Children start school and 90% of these children finish at age 12. Only 13 Burmese Teenagers are in a Thai school receiving a Secondary Education.

Great needs still exist here on the Thai Burma Border. Our Preschool Programme and Burmese Migrant Secondary Education Programme is vital for the Migrant Community. Without education the cycle of poverty continues.

With your generosity, and us 'lending our flesh to God' -as Pope Francis says - we make an incredible difference.
