Thank you to everyone who gave us their time to complete our last Covid-19 survey. Key findings, thanks to your feedback, include:
  • Evidence of adaptability, agility, and flexibility of the sector
  • Continued loss of income
  • A significant increase in demand for services and further anticipated increases of demand going forward
  • Increased costs
  • Some services have stopped
  • Increase in volunteer numbers
As we move into the next stage of the COVID-19 pandemic, living with the virus.  It’s an opportune time to check back in with Medway's VCSE around how the pandemic continues to impact your organisation, if at all.

The intelligence that is captured from these surveys help MVA to share your stories, to give a detailed overview of the reality that faces you and other micro, small, medium and large organisations within Medway.  It can help highlight gaps in the market where additional resources may be needed and may well lead to funders targeting those gaps in the specific areas highlighted from the surveys.

The results of the surveys are anonymised and summarised into a state of the sector report (The latest survey can be found
HERE and previous surveys HERE) with Funders, Medway Council, Big Lottery, Kent & Medway CCG, to name a few, being briefed on the findings which can then influence their procurement and grant funding decisions.
Transformation Academy & Transformation Alliance

With almost a 75% increase in demand for services coupled with a 25% reduction in funding (from last survey), organisations within Medway need to work proactively together in smarter ways to learn from each other, reduce costs and share expertise.  As such, with a significant investment from the National Lottery, the Medway Transformation Academy and Medway Charity Alliance have been created.  More than ever Health & Social Care will be reliant on the VCSE to achieve their objectives.  The Transformation Academy and Alliance will enhance Medway VCSE’s ability to be able to respond as flexibly, creatively and collaboratively as they have done so to date throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

With this in mind, we would strongly encourage you to take the time to complete this survey and share your organisation’s reality as it stands now.  We will compare and contrast with previous surveys to map where areas of improvement and more resources are needed.  We should like to thank you for taking this time to invest in the future of your organisation and in the future of Medway VCSE.

I am ready to complete the survey now

Our Grateful Thanks
Quite simply, we couldn't create the wealth of news articles and updates for the sector without the fantastic support of our office volunteer, Fouad El-Manaa.
Thank you also to everyone who sends us ideas for articles that would be of interest and help to the sector - you can do this too by emailing comms@mva.org.uk.
