Join the US CLIVAR Project Office team in Washington DC. We are searching for a Program Specialist II to assist community planning and implementation of coordinated research efforts and to develop and deliver useful communications and outreach materials. Applications are due Tuesday, November 20.

US CLIVAR has issued an open community call for new members to join its three implementation panels in 2019. Specific expertise is sought for each panel. Nominations/self-nominations are due January 7.
Abstract submission deadline is extended for the CLIVAR workshop on Sources and Sinks of Ocean Mesoscale Eddy Energy that will take place March 12–14, 2019 in Tallahassee, Florida. Abstracts are now due November 30.
Abstracts and registration are now open for a US CLIVAR workshop on Sea Level Hotspots from Florida to Maine: Drivers, Impacts, and Adaptation on April 23–25, 2019 in Norfolk, Virginia. Abstracts are due January 11.
Abstracts and registration are open for a US CLIVAR Workshop on Atmospheric Convection and Air-Sea Interactions of the Tropical Oceans on May 7–9, 2019, in Boulder, Colorado. Abstracts are due January 7.
Fill out the US GO-SHIP Survey to help inform an external review of the effectiveness and value of the US GO-SHIP operations, products, and science and how to strengthen them. Surveys are due January 7.
Participate in the US CLIVAR Climate Process Teams Town Hall at 2018 Fall AGU on Tuesday, December 11 at 6:15pm. Learn about the purposes and best practices for formulating CPT projects and agency opportunities for support.

The Ocean Carbon Biogeochemistry Program seeks proposals for scoping workshops, working groups, and other activities by December 3.
The US State Department has issued an open call for comments from US scientists and stakeholders on second-order drafts of two IPCC Special Reports on (i) Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate and (ii) Climate Change and Land. Comments due by December 19.
The Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean (POGO) is taking applications for shipboard fellowship opportunities onboard research vessels for early career scientists, postdocs, graduate students, and technicians in 2019. 
Enter the 13th Annual Photo Contest of the North Pacific Research Board. Up to $3,300 in cash prizes is awarded for top photos of sea life, seascapes, coastal scenes, and marine research within the waters of the North Pacific Ocean.
