Thank you Joann Vaughan
Marketing and Networking - You're off target, if you aren't online.
If you've only thought of marketing and networking in traditional formats of printed materials and brushing elbows at parties, you're quickly joining an era of messages in a bottle and tin cans joined by string. Last night at Historic London Town & Gardens, Executive Director for MFA, Joann Vaughan, gave everyone in attendance a lesson on today's strategies for marketing and networking using social media!
If you're not online, you're missing out on the opportunity to communicate with about 2,405,518,376 billion internet users worldwide. If you are online, 2,405,518,376 billion people may not be your target audience, but you do want to reach the 300, 500, or 1,000 that are.
Joann's comprehensive presentation hit several key factors to consider when promoting your organization online: 1) Have a website with a clear and easily understood mission statement; 2) Give current information; 3) At the very least have a well maintained Facebook Page. In addition to the rule of thirds, Joanne gave the secret to increasing your social media impact without adding hours to the clock.
Thank you, Joanne for such an informative evening. If the rain kept you away download the full presentation HERE.
The Arts Council would also like to thank Rod Cofield, Executive Director of Historic London Town and Gardens for being a gracious host.
Thank you to Wil Scott and Sydney Lamb, ACAAC OutReach Committee Chairs. We look forward to seeing you at our next event.
