EYCN DELEGATES NEWSLETTER · July 2016
Dear Friends of the EYCN,

Welcome to the July edition of the EYCN newsletter.

EYCN promotes actions aiming to engage and involve more young chemists in activities such as conferences, meetings, and events that have chemistry as central subject.

In order to increase the visibility of the EYCN across Europe, we would be very grateful if you could share our Facebook page, Twitter and LinkedIn page with your respective societies or companies. As you will see, we are currently featuring a "Pick of the Week" photo on Facebook as one way of increasing visibility. We will also be starting a monthly competition using our social media pages, so keep a look out! If you have any other ideas for making the EYCN more well known across Europe, please get in touch. 

1) We are pleased to announce that the 12th EYCN delegates assembly will be held in Heraklion (Crete), and organised by the Association of Greek Chemists (Regional Division of Crete) and the Chemistry Postgraduates' Student Association. 

2) Due to the success of the 3rd edition of Mediterranean Young Researcher Days (JMJC), the French Young Chemists' Network (RJ-SCF) is pleased to announce the 4th edition of this congress.It will be held from October the 13th to the 14th of 2016 at the Castle of the Science Faculty of Nice, France. 3) The Italian Chemical Society welcomes you to attend the Merck Young Chemists Symposium to be held in Rimini from the 25th-27th of October. This is an international conference covering all areas of chemistry. The early bird registration deadline for the conference is the 23rd September. 4) You are invited to attend the XIII Symposium of the Young Researchers of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry to be held in Logroño, La Rioja, from the 8th to the 11th of November 2016. For more information, please see the conference webiste: http://sij2016.unirioja.es

5) We look forward to seeing you at the 6th EuCHeMS Chemistry Congress in Sevilla. For more information regarding the EYCN programme, please click here

6) We would like to encourage you to apply for the Chemistry Views new competition by sharing moments related to your work as a chemist. This could be a video or photo which shows a new structure, an interesting lab set up or demonstrates the way you've come to understand a complex issue.The deadline is the 31st July, so get your submissions in quickly.You can read more about the competition here
