 Priest in Charge Search Prayer

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a priest in charge for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Clouds are different in different places,
lines and curves,
         circles and swells,
but the air is still the same.
You can breathe it, sing it and tell
the ones you love that nothing,
not even death,
will move them from your horizon.

I hope you tell them.

Green is different in different places,
water and sunlight,
          fruit and flowers,
but the earth is still the same.
You can delve it, till it or bury
the ones you love, but nothing
can move them from your horizon.

I hope friends surround you on that day.

Grief is different at different times,
in different places along your journey,
tears and laughter,
           gratitude and rage,
but the love is still the same.
It stretches long over the horizon,
past what you can see.
It connects us, even in the dimming light.
It whispers resurrection.

I hope you listen to what lives on inside you.

From Fr.  Chris
On Jerusalem's threshold, for a third time Jesus foretells his arrest by Israel's religious hierarchy, his capital punishment, his hand-over to Gentile authorities, who revile and kill him, and his resurrection after three days.  Jesus' words to the disciples are an extraordinary promise, saying that they will not always be driven by their fears and their need for security.  Rather, "you will be empowered to take up your cross and follow me, and you will be faithful disciples even to the end."
This promise from Jesus affirms that we can and will live as faithful disciples as we seek to follow him.
Mask Policy :

Holy Family recommends, but is not requiring, the use of masks.  As always, if you are not feeling well, please stay home

IAM Food Drive Status
Another 57 lbs this week. So we have less than 250 lbs to meet our goal of 1 ton by December 31st. Lets keep in mind and in our prayers the families with hunger issues that will benefit from our generosity. Let’s keep up the good work.

Checks are acceptable in lieu of food donations. We get a 1 lb. credit for every dollar given.  Make checks out to Holy Family and designate for IAM.  Let’s keep up the good work.
We are doing this.
Calling all pets and pet owners!  The annual blessing of the animals will take place in the courtyard Sunday October 17, 4:00 pm. So bring your furry, feathered, hairy, scaly creatures to receive Gods blessing. In keeping with Holy Family’s generous spirit, please consider a cash or check donation to be used for pet food.
Please stay after church to enjoy coffee hour and fellowship. Volunteers are needed to provide simple snacks and to clean up afterward. If you desire to provide refreshments for coffee hour, please sign up on the hallway sign up sheets.
