Get Back In The Game And Improve Your Health and Fitness For Free

Would you like to take part in weekly Walking Football sessions in a friendly environment? Back In The Game, CIC runs a free indoor session at 11am every Monday in New Ferry Village Hall, Grove Street, New Ferry CH62 5BA. Delivered by Scotland Under 21 international Matt Edwards sessions are designed to improve fitness as well as improve physical and mental wellbeing.

New Community Interest Company Aims To Make Merseyside’s Roads Safer

The brainchild of Wirral resident Paul Mountford, recently incorporated CIC Road Safety Matters will deliver road safety education in a range of environments as well as providing support to organisations and businesses around road safety. Paul aims to give the local community an increased understanding of the main causes of road casualties and hopes that improved community safety will be achieved via behaviour change techniques.

The Wirral JSNA website to be replaced by the Wirral Observatory

The new Wirral Observatory website is nearing completion… this will be taking over from the current Wirral JSNA website You will be able to search for statistics about Wirral, look at current trends and needs in the borough and access all manner of reports that are appropriate to the research or evidence of need that you are looking for.

Wirral South Christmas Together 2017 Campaign

Would you like to get involved in an exciting and worthwhile Christmas project this year in Wirral South? The project aims to provide a local option for anybody that might find themselves without company over the Christmas period. Last year, we supported five organisations to put on successful Christmas events across Wirral South, and we’d like to replicate that success this year!

ICSA issues free guidance on building board assurance framework

The professional body for governance ICSA has issued some free guidance on building a board assurance framework (BAF), which helps a board understand if its charity is being run properly. A BAF is a framework by which the board can be assured of the veracity of data presented to it, when trustees are presented with triangulated information to support management assertions that the charity is well run. -

The Winifred Tumim Memorial Prize for best practice in charity governance has been established by NCVO in honour of the work done by Lady Winifred Tumim, chair of NCVO from 1996-2001, to improve the quality of charity governance. All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend the NCVO/BWB Trustee Conference on Tuesday 14 November 2017 free of charge where the winners will be announced at the evening drinks reception.
