Third Sunday After Epiphany
Philippians 2:5-11

This Sunday, January 27, we continue in our worship series called "Imago Dei," which is Latin for "Image of God." This week, we'll explore the idea that since we are created in God's Image, we should be imitating God in how we act and live. Pastor John will be preaching from the ancient Christ Hymn found in Philippians 2:5-11. We hope you'll join us this Sunday at 10:30 am for worship.

Moving forward, we will use this book (which are available for purchase from the church office for $10). We hope you'll join us!

Be on the lookout for a separate e-mail with information regarding the plan. As a reminder, if you have questions about this suggested plan, please reach out to Rev. John Hill, Strategic Planning Committee Chair Deanna McCulley, or Leadership Board Chair Kevin Walker.

Spiritual Journeys Conversation
January 27, 9:30 a.m.

The Spiritual Journeys Conversation serves as a safe place to question, challenge, and pursue our own concept of who or what God is. While there will never be anyone to replace the open-minded, inquisitive leadership of Steve Tippens, we will move forward in his honor. All persons interested in a conversational class on the issues of the day are welcome to join us.

To Be Continued
January 27, 9:30 a.m.

Led by Pastoral Intern, Nate Partee, this class is designed to be a relaxed conversation that doesn’t currently have a curriculum; we will go where the Holy Spirit leads us. The goal of this class is to discuss relevant topics while diving into the underlying mechanisms so that we may attempt to understand the issues from multiple perspectives. Topics range from why grocery stores don’t sell edible fruit because it looks deformed all the way to the role of human logic in understanding God. Stop by one week to see what it is all about!

BeMore Small Group Meeting
January 29, 7:00 p.m.
