O.C. Singles for Christ
A Christian Fellowship for
Singles and Couples of all ages!

3186 Pullman Street Costa Mesa CA 92626

You are enthusiastically encouraged to come and connect with us this coming Friday Night January 15th, at Orange County Singles for Christ.  Enjoy a Fantastic Evening of Worship, Teaching, and lots of Exciting Shared Activities with other Single Adults and Couples! Every Friday Night is diverse, never dull, and always something new each week, so come and enjoy the fun and its enhancement to the quality of your life!  Also, bring a Pal, they will have a lot of fun too!

 WE ARE OPEN AND MEETING!
Below is a mini-account of what is occurring this coming Friday Night!
Our Location is: 3186 Pullman Street Costa Mesa CA 92626

Our Patio area opens at 6:00pm.  You're welcome to come early, and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or tea, and hang out and use our free WIFI to get some late work done on your laptop or just hang out with friends!  For those desiring to sit outside on the patio, we have 9 commercial heaters, and we have a HUGE TV Screen for your viewing pleasure.  However, always bring a jacket and wearing a facemask is highly recommended.

Our service starts promptly at 7:27pm sharp.  If you can't be there in person, you can watch the program via ONLINE LIVE-STREAMING: Use this link: www.facebook.com/ocsinglesforchrist/  Click on Live Videos.  We are also streaming from our main website as well at www.ocsinglesforchrist.org.

At 7:30pm, Joel Valiente and his band are back with us to lead our worship segment of the evening.  Joel is an Amazing Worship Leader and he will be bringing with him an Amazing Contemporary Worship Band!

After our worship experience, our Senior Pastor Thomas Rose will be bringing a message entitled “Oh, I just want to Quit, Part 2".  With our society in chaos, and so many people self isolating, it is easy to fall into a “I Wanna Quit” mentality.  This week we will look at "7 Proven Steps" to install into our lives, so that we are able to fight off the "I Wanna Quit" mentality, and instead find Spiritual Prosperity, Sound Mental Health and a Positive Outlook in our lives!

After our Service, you are encouraged to stay and enjoy our fellowship time with Karaoke, Foosball, Ping Pong and more!  You are welcome to stay for as long as you desire.  Free Cookies, Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate will be served.  Soft Drinks and Bottled Water available for $1.00.  For our Karaoke enthusiasts, please note; you must purchase a microphone covering, in order to participate in our Karaoke Program.  The cost is $1.00; coverings can be purchased at the welcome table OR bring your own microphone covering!

Blessings!  Pastor Thomas

SPECIAL EVENTS for January 2021
Laguna Coast Wilderness Park Hike
Nix Nature Center Parking Lot
18751 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 92651
Saturday, January 16th, 2021; 10 am to 1 pm

This hike is an intermediate level hike. It is about 7.5 miles with 990 feet rise and fall. It has a good workout climb and a drop. It is not, NOT for the unfit or unprepared. No whining is permitted on this hike.
We will meet at the parking lot of the Nix Nature Center which has a toll of $3 for the day.
We will hike up Little Sycamore Canyon and across Serrano Ridge Trail. We will try to find Laurel Ridge Trail. If we cannot find the ridge trail we will go down Laurel Canyon Trail and then up and across Stagecoach South Trail to the nature center. There are restrooms at the Nix Nature Center. Pack a lunch and we stop for lunch along the trail.
This event is hosted by Jack Miller.  Email Jack at jackocsc@gmail.com.

Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park Off-Road Bike Ride
2829 Awma Road, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
Saturday, January 30th, 2021; 10 am to 1 pm

Join us for our first partial off-road bike ride. This is a casual ride. The planned ride is down Aliso Creek Trail which is blacktop then up Wood Canyon Trail which is a hard-packed dirt fire road. We will turn around and go back down Wood Canyon Trail and ride down Aliso Creek Trail down to The Ranch at Laguna Canyon golf course and return to the parking lot
This is reasonably flat riding for being called off-road. It is our first. People have been asking for off-road so this will be our trial to see how it works. If some people want to ride a trail up out of the canyon, I'm game for extra credit.
The distance for the planned ride is only 9.7 miles for the round trip. See the trail route in the photos below. However, this area is so beautiful, we need to stop and enjoy the stream and woods.
We will meet in the parking lot across from The Church of Latter-Day Saints. Parking in the lot is $3 or street parking is available on Awma Road and around the corner at Wood Canyon Elementary School. Bring a helmet. Pack a lunch to eat along the ride. There are outhouse restrooms at the parking lot.
This event is hosted by Jack Miller.  Email Jack at jackocsc@gmail.com.
