When the highly anticipated Presidio Tunnel Tops officially opened this past July, it was the culmination of a collaborative process that engaged the surrounding community. 

A process that was several years in the making, the national park was born out of local workshops, an inclusive design process, and intentional outreach to communities of color. Outdoor Learning Spotlight: Groundwater Guardians Youth Volunteers

The Chino Basin Water Conservation District’s Groundwater Guardians Youth Volunteer Cohort serves as youth ambassadors in the Inland Valley of Southern California. In preparation for educating the community about waterwise landscaping and groundwater conservation, the cohort members got an up-close look at waterwise gardens at the district’s demonstration gardens.
