This is an update for all members of Rother District Council, Town and Parish councils and local MPs.

Tier 4 from midnight Saturday 

From midnight tonight. Saturday 19 December, Rother and Hastings will move to a new tier of Covid-19 restrictions, Tier 4. 

Under these new restrictions; 
  • you must stay at home 
  • non-essential shops must close
  • gyms, hair and beauty and other close contact services must close
  • you can only meet one other person outdoors (outside of your own household)
  • you must not travel to other tiers (with limited exceptions)
  • no travel abroad
  • no mixing of households at Christmas
  • support bubbles are still allowed
  • collective worship can continue 
These new restrictions come into effect from midnight tonight.

Help and support over Christmas

Coronavirus community support
If someone is in need of support due to the Covid-19 pandemic local volunteers, the community hub and East Sussex County Council are on hand to help. Find out about Community Support on our website.

Rough sleepers
Anyone concerned about someone who is sleeping rough in Rother should let us know via Streetlink
