Hookah and e-cigarettes popular with high schoolers

Government Steps Up to Study Cigarettes and their Effects

The Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) has opened a research center to study the ingredients in cigarettes, their addictiveness and their risk on health. Located at the KCDC complex in Osong, Chungbuk Province, the research center will analyze the components of cigarettes and their fumes, usage among smokers, levels of exposure to toxins, and their influence on health.

MOH respects Sultan of Johor's order to ban e-cig, vape

The Health Ministry accepts and respects the decree by the Sultan of Johor to prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes and vapes in the state starting Jan 1 next year. Health Minister Datuk Seri S. Subramaniam said the ministry welcomed the decision [...] as it was in line with the ministry's intention towards achieving the smoke-free Malaysian generation by 2045.


FDA could regulate e-cigarette-use in SA

The city of San Antonio recently extended its prohibition on smoking to Main Plaza and Travis Park [...] Adults still legally can use e-cigarettes in places like this where smoking is otherwise banned, but the city is waiting to see whether the Food and Drug Administration creates a new rule that would put e-cigarettes, vaporizers [...] into the same category as traditional cigarettes.
