Folk Development Colleges in Tanzania

I conducted in 1995-7 with a team from Education for Development an evaluation of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency's (SIDA) assistance to the Folk Development Colleges (FDCs) (report published); later, I reviewed the position of the FDCs (published 2013). This present report was compiled on the basis of visits to Tanzania and Sweden in 2017.

The UALL Conference has a reputation for offering opportunities for practitioners and researchers to present their work to the academic community. Proposals are invited on any of the strands of the conference theme. They may describe and discuss innovative developments and practice, and/or empirical or theoretical research.
