Professional Learning Communities (PLC) in the Global South: a Systematic Literature Review - A new project led by Professor Ellen Boeren

We are pleased to report a new project funded by VVOB Education for Development in Brussels with a grant of €29,658 that is being led by CR&DALL core member, Professor Ellen Boeren and also involves Dr Srabani Maitra, also a CR&DALL core member, and Dr Dong Nguyen, a lecturer in the School of Education.

Local, place-based, and community-driven approaches to peacebuilding - A new project led by Yulia Nesterova

We are pleased to announce that the project, Local, place-based, and community-driven approaches to peacebuilding, has been funded under the British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grant programme with a grant of £9,803. The project is led by CR&DALL core member, Yulia Nesterova, and seeks to draw on diverse conflict and post-conflict contexts to develop a local, place-based, community-driven model of peacebuilding through education and learning that can be adaptive to different contexts.

New project | Employability in programme development (EPD) led by Kristinn Hermannsson

We are pleased to announce a new project 'Employability in programme development (EPD): Establishing a labour market to higher education feedback loop drawing on local labour market intelligence', which seeks to establish a feedback loop from the labour market to HEIs in order inform programme and course design to best support the employability of future graduates.

Lifelong options: Improving opportunities for adult learners, supporting local and national prosperity

The event will explore approaches for ensuring the higher education sector is accessible and responsive to the needs of adult learners. Keynotes from Michelle Donelan MP, Minister of State for Universities and Lord Bilimoria of Chelsea CBE DL will consider what the government’s new lifelong learning policy means for adult learners and how higher education and industry working together can develop a workforce for the future. We will also be looking at the impact of COVID-19 on these students.
