AFPC Joins Alaska Food Coalition in Juneau

Alaska Food Policy Council governing board members and volunteers joined members of the Alaska Food Coalition in Juneau last month to meet with elected-officials and discuss the issues of hunger and food security in Alaska.

AFC's 2015 Annual Member Meeting included addresses from Lt. Governor Byron Mallott and Alaska's DHSS Commissioner Valerie Davidson, as well as a food security update from our federal delegation in Washington D.C.
AFPC would like to give a special thank you to Alaska Food Coalition Manger and AFPC board member Cara Durr, for organizing such a great event, and for all the important work she is doing to end hunger in Alaska!
