Ruben, Jordan, & Eva
ROMANIA
February 2019

Dear Faithful Supporters,

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for us and for Grace of Life Baptist Church in Sânmihiau, Romania. We want to especially thank you for a specific prayer request from our last letter concerning Ruben seeking the Lord’s wisdom in protecting the pulpit. Not soon after we sent out the letter, the Lord worked in a sweet way for us to come together as a church. In the second week of January, we had a full week of prayer meetings centering on the topic of unity within the body of Christ. It warmed our hearts to see the majority of our members and visitors with them in attendance everyday! A full week of prayer with the church, along with the messages, certainly boosted our spirits and has helped all of us move forward as a church to seek out ways to live better for the Lord in 2019.

A new opportunity has opened up for us to work with a group of 100 or more children in a nearby village called Agrij. We have been busing some of the children over for Friday night’s kids clubs, but we do not have enough seats in the church van to fit all the children that want to come. Even with the purchase of another van, we still would not have enough room for all of them. We are praying that the Lord would direct us to a local building, where we can work with the children there in Agrij. Ruben has been in touch with the pastor of the local Baptist Church there. They currently do not have any children’s or teen’s ministries in the church and seem very open to letting us use their building. Please pray for wisdom as we pick up this new undertaking. Pray that the children and teens will hear the gospel and want to be saved. And pray that the Lord would raise up labors to help us in this new work.

Once more, we thank you for your faithful prayers for us! This time, we are asking you to pray for other missionaries who are in much need of prayer. Please pray for Sara George, missionary wife and mother of five, in Satu Mare, Romania. Not long ago she had to have her gallbladder removed and just recently she had one of her kidneys removed. She was only meant to stay in the hospital for a week after the surgery, but dew to complications she ended up having to stay for five weeks. Praise the Lord, she is finally back home now. Please pray for her healing and for a fast recovery.

Please also pray for fellow missionary Peter Heisey in Timișora, Romania. Pete had a severe heart attack in the beginning of February, that left him in a coma and on a ventilator. Miraculously, he has come out of the coma and is breathing on his own. He’s greatest need now is to have a good neurologist come see him. Please pray for him and his family. He is receiving great care at the hospital in Timișora, but the nurse staff have not been the nicest to the family when they  come to visit. The Heiseys have a long journey ahead of them but, praise the Lord for the hurdles that Pete has already overcome! Thank you in advance for your prayers.
