September 2022 Update

Dear Faithful Supporters

This month we experienced a new first. Eva had her first day of kindergarten. Can you believe that she will be turning five soon? She loves going to kindergarten because she gets another chance to see her friends from church at school every day.

The kindergarten building is right next to the elementary and middle school. When we pick up Eva from kindergarten, we often see our bus kids from church. They love to wave us down to say hi. We have met several new children from town this way and now many of them are coming to church with our bus kids. We have kids’ clubs on Tuesdays and Fridays after school. Every time we meet it seems like we have more and more kids in attendance. We are thrilled that more children are coming because this is another way of reaching them and their homes with the Gospel.

“But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little;..." Isaiah 28:13a

Step by step, day by day, our children and teens in the church are learning more and more about God and the Bible. Our prayer is that many will be saved and choose to follow Christ. We pray that they will grow in the knowledge of the Lord and absorb God’s Word as they continue coming to church.

Praise the Lord for a new name written down in Glory!
Oli with his wife Olga

Last week, Oli (oh-lee) stood up after church and surrendered his life to God.  At the beginning of September, He was very sick in the hospital. Although we were not allowed to visit Oli due to hospital rules, we were able to get him a Bible with a bigger print that he requested while in the hospital. The very same week he came home from the hospital he was in church.

If you remember, this time last year Oil’s eldest daughter, Raluca accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized shortly after. Please pray with us now for his wife and his two other adult children and their families to soon also accept Christ as their Savior.

When school started we bought school supplies for needy children in our village and the nearby village of Santa Maria. There is one particular group of very poor orphans that we have been helping. In the past, we have given them food and clothes. Raluca and her family collected and bought school clothes for them and just recently, a man from Cluj, donated a large load of wood for their heat this winter.

As always we want to thank you for your faithful prayers for us as well as your financial support. It is a joy to labor with you in reaching Romania with the Gospel for the Lord!
