August 2025 Update

Dear Faithful Supporters

Greetings from Romania! As we look back on this past month, we are reminded that God is always at work, sometimes in ways that are immediately visible, and at other times quietly, through the steady rhythm of ministry.

Awana Praise Report

One of the highlights of this month has been seeing God move in the lives of children. We rejoice that four girls from our Awana clubs accepted Christ as their Savior! They had been feeling convicted for several weeks, and last Friday, they came to us during Awana to make that decision. These girls are part of the new generation that has been faithfully attending our clubs over the past year, and we are grateful to see how God is drawing them to Himself. Please continue to pray for them as they grow in grace and in their new faith.

Here is a picture of the girls right before we prayed together.

Emma (8), Sara (8), Irina (10), and Alesia (10)

Ongoing Ministry

While this has been a very special moment, much of our ministry continues in steady, faithful ways through church services, Bible studies, community outreach, and discipleship. Sometimes being a missionary means wearing many hats: groundskeeper, mechanic, pastor, and teacher.  These “ordinary” rhythms may not always feel noteworthy, but God reminds us through 1 Corinthians 15:58 that none of it is ever wasted when done for Him.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

This verse has been a great encouragement to us as we serve, trusting that both the seen and unseen labors are precious to Him.

Prayer Requests

  • Please keep Ruben’s mom in your prayers! She has been facing some serious health challenges recently, and the doctors are considering surgery, but we are asking the Lord for healing and strength so that surgery may not be necessary.

  • Pray for Emma, Sara, Irina, and Alesia as they grow in their new faith.

  • Pray for continued encouragement and fruit through our weekly ministries.

  • Pray for wisdom as we plan for the upcoming months and seek additional opportunities to share Christ with the Romanian people.

Thank you again for your faithful prayers and support. Because of your partnership, both the ordinary and extraordinary moments of ministry here are being used by the Lord for His glory. May He richly bless you as you continue to labor for Him where you are.

Your Missionaries to Romania,

Ruben, Jordan, & Eva Cristinoiu
