Dear Faithful Supporters,

God is good, all the time! And all the time, God is good!

We could go on and on about the goodness of God that we have experienced in Romania since our last update, but for now will just give you some of the highlights.

First and foremost,

Prasie the LORD for a new name written down in glory!

Claudia accepted Christ as her Savior!

You may remember Claudia, the teen girl we have been praying to get saved for about a year. Ruben and I were honored to pray with her after a teen activity in our apartment, wherein she accepted Christ as her Savior. Please continue to pray with us for Claudia, she is the only one in her family that goes to church and soon her family will be moving to Germany. Pray that she will find a good church in Germany, and that we will be able to keep in touch to disciple her long-distance.

Important announcement of some upcoming changes

Though we love working with the George family in Satu Mare, the Lord has called us to go out on our own. As God would have it, we received a phone call last spring from veteran missionary, Issac Lawrence, asking Ruben to be a guest speaker for his gypsy church plant in Sânmihiau, just two hours south of Satu Mare. Like minded in faith and doctrine, Brother Issac and his wife have been working on the mission field for over 40 years. They are ready to retire and move back to the states.

Brother Issac called on Ruben not only as an occasional guest speaker, but also with the hope that he might take over his most recent church plant. After months of prayer, approval from our sending church and Mission Board, several visits to the church, and ultimately the unanimous vote from the church folk of Sânmihiau, Ruben is now the pastor of Biserica Baptista Harul Vietii (Grace of Life Baptist Church) in Sânmihiau, Romania!

Questions you may have...

Will this new church be giving Ruben a salary?
No, we will still rely on your continued support. The church is located in a poor gypsy village. Members currently can barely afford to bring in enough money to cover the church's electricity bill.

Does Ruben plan to pastor this new church indefinitely?
No. We are Church Planting Missionaries. This means that Ruben will pastor the church in Sânmihiau until the Lord allows him to raise up another man into the pastorate, so that he may start another church, and so on.

Does this mean that you will never visit your former churches?
NO! We still have a wonderful relationship with the George family and the churches. Thankfully also, we are only two hours away from Satu Mare and will plan to visit and minister to them whenever the Lord allows.

What changes in ministry will there be?
1. Ruben is no longer an assisting pastor, he is the pastor.

2. Compared to the church in Satu Mare, the church in Sânmihiau currently has very few young people in attendance. We want to change that with different activities planed to reach out to the children and teens in the area, such as: Bible clubs, teen rallies, youth activities, etc.

3. Because Sânmihiau is so close to Cluj (one of Romania’s most well known and major cities), Jordan would like to teach English as a way to reach out and witness to families in the community that would never attend church otherwise.

We are so excited about God's new direction of service and opportunities to reach the lost in Romania! Please feel free to message us for any additonal questions and concerns that you may have about these changes. We covet your prayers as we continue to follow the Lord's leadings and begin this new work. Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support! You are a very important part of our ministry and we thank the Lord for you!
