New year, exciting plans.

As we start the new year, it is my great honor to assume the role of WGC Advisory Board Chair. I am excited to help lead the Women's Giving Circle in 2023 with WGC Vice Chair Candace Dodson-Reed, our Executive Committee, Advisory Board, and Executive Director, Buffy Beaudoin-Schwartz.

I would like to thank Barb Van Winkle for her years of leadership in the Women's Giving Circle, including the last four years as Advisory Board Chair. We are grateful that Barb will remain on our leadership team as the Immediate Past Chair, and we'll continue our strong partnership moving forward. In fact, I invite you to give to the Barb Van Winkle Leadership Fund in honor of her efforts, and those of WGC leaders the last 20 years!

Opportunities for involvement in 2023

Are you looking to get more involved in the WGC this year? Our team is providing numerous opportunities for you - please join us in the next few months by:

• Attending our upcoming WGC Membership Monday via Zoom on January 23, 2023, from 8:30 am - 9:00 am to learn more about the WGC.
• Sponsoring WGC in 2023 and/or purchasing tickets to WGC's Annual Celebration + Pink Party at Howard Community College on March 8, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
• Joining the 2023 Big Give! Registration ends on April 30.
• Giving products or a donation to WGC's Feminine Hygiene Product Drive.

In addition to these upcoming events, we have a busy year ahead where we will:

• Strive to engage our members in new and creative ways.
• Continue to advance our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
• Build upon WGC's State of Women and Girls in Howard County to inform our grantmaking.
• Strengthen our core support to sustain and grow our circle for the next 20 years and beyond.
