Latest news from the WGC.
Friends,
Wow - it's been a busy summer!
It has been wonderful seeing so many of you in person the last few months - at our May Mother's Day Happy Hour at Bra-La-La, June Pink Party in the Park at the Robinson Nature Center, July launch of WGC's The Big Give at the Community Foundation of Howard County, and our August Happy Hour to kick-off Black Philanthropy Month at The 3rd! You can read more about these events below, and learn about what we have coming up on our website.
We hope you are enjoying WGC's "Our Giving, Our Stories" in celebration of Black Philanthropy Month. Please take a moment to read each of these inspirational stories of Howard County philanthropists!
We are continuing our grantmaking to support women and girls in Howard County. This year, we are giving $200,000 to our nonprofit partners in the community in celebration of 20th anniversary year - we are honored to support the important work happening on behalf of women, girls, and families in Howard County. Take a look at WGC's State of Women and Girls in Howard County to see data that is supporting our funding efforts.
And, we continue to highlight our 20th Anniversary year by bringing women together to learn, network, celebrate and give collectively - we thank you for joining with us!
Sincerely,
Barb Van Winkle, WGC Advisory Board Chair
Jennifer Bodensiek and Candace Dodson-Reed, WGC 20th Anniversary Co-Chairs
