The latest news from the WGC.
Happy Summer! I hope you are enjoying some needed down time with family and friends. While we are adjusting to aspects of life as we knew it, we continue to engage our community in pooling our dollars so that we can have a greater impact together than we might otherwise have alone on programs that benefit women and girls. Many thanks to those who have given to the WGC recently - you are appreciated!
This is the value of a giving circle.
We are proud to elevate the voices and stories of women philanthropists in our community through the WGC's "Our Giving, Our Stories" profile series. I hope you'll read this month's profiles of Ying Matties and Catherine Hyde in honor of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, and I encourage you to take a moment to provide us with the names of women in your life who we might honor for Black Philanthropy Month in August, and throughout the year - here's how.
Are you interested in learning more about the WGC? Mark your calendars for our upcoming virtual Membership Monday, July 19 at 4:30 pm - we'd love to see you! And, we are hosting a virtual Happy Hour on August 2 at 5:30 pm to celebrate Black Philanthropy Month - please join us! Finally, we are gearing up for our 20th Anniversary year in 2022. Save-the-Date for our Annual Celebration on March 8, 2022, and stay tuned for a year of efforts celebrating and telling the story of history, our impact, and our future!
Be sure to connect with us on social media and read our blog, both of which provide ongoing details of our efforts and how you can get involved.
Thanks for all you do on behalf of our community!
