WGC Emergency Response Network Request - $2,000 - Can You Help?
The Women's Giving Circle has launched a year-long Feminine Hygiene Product Drive as part of our 20th anniversary year. The WGC has chosen to continue our focus on this because it's a need that is easily and often overlooked.
Did you know ...
- 29% of girls miss school due to lack of supplies needed.
- 39% cannot provide period products for themselves.
- Some are forced to use towels and plastic instead of proper supplies.

Bita Dayhoff, Executive Director of the Community Action Council agrees, and adds: "Did you know SNAP (food stamps) do NOT cover feminine hygiene products? Nearly 60% of the 51,000 clients that the Howard County Food Bank serves are female! Please help us keep our shelves and all others in our county stocked with feminine hygiene products so we can help women and girls with this basic need on an ongoing basis."
Can you help? Any amount is valued and appreciated.
