Hello Arbor Pointe!!
Just a quick note - as you see above, Worship On Wednesday is in full swing and we are currently averaging around 40 folks each week for food, fellowship, worship and study - discipleship! You are invited to join us any time you can!!
This coming week, there are the two events listed above to engage in and we will be having a booth and float in the Hoschton Fall Festival September 22-24 - I'll get more out next week about how you can help but the two contact people are Gary Nicholson, Outreach (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Amy Thompson, Parade Coordinator (email@example.com). Reach out to them and they can plug you in!
With the hurricanes we have seen the last few weeks, it brought to light that it would be beneficial to become a Red Cross Temporary Shelter. To that end, we have reached out to the Red Cross and there will be upcoming training to help us be better able to help in these events. We are 'on call' with them right now if there should be a need arise.
Please be in prayer for Arbor Pointe Church as we are in the season of Charge Conference which means we are preparing to transition in leadership, develop budget and continue planning for our future. Our Charge Conference is scheduled for September 27th at 7pm at New Liberty Church along with the other members of our Connection Group. Our Council has met and will meet again on the 17th in preparation for Charge Conference. As with all we do, we desire to be in line with God's calling for us at APC and prayer helps insure that we do so!
This is also the season of my (Pastor Mike's) evaluation so please give feedback to Corrine Davis, Personnel Chair or Larry Tolbert, Lay Leader so they will be best able to provide an accurate evaluation of/for me as your Pastor.
For our parents - we have been keeping 4 and above in Worship on Sundays with us now for several months. Please let us know your thoughts on how this is going for y'all. We are a work in progress and we want to make sure we are providing enough support for parents in what we do no Sunday morning as we seek to have family-focused worship together.
May God lead us on the pathway to where He would have us to be!
