Health Consumers’ Council is hosting another in our series of consumer conversations to help people in the community understand, and prepare for, living with COVID.
We will be joined by Professor Grant Waterer, Director of Clinical Services, Royal Perth Bentley Group, Area Director of Clinical Services, East Metropolitan Health Service and
Professor of Medicine, University of Western Australia.
Professor Waterer will provide a clinical update on COVID-19, as well as sharing his best tips on preparing for living with COVID, in the home and in the community. This will include advice on how to care for yourself, your family, or someone you care for, if you get COVID-19.
In the second half of the session, we will hear from Selena West, Manager – Social Support, COVIDCAT, Department of Health.
The COVID Care Assistance Team, aka COVIDCAT, is a public health service designed to address the needs of people in the WA community who require additional support should they get COVID-19 or be required to isolate due to being a close contact.
Ms West will provide an overview of the COVIDCAT service, including how it can help, who can access it, and how. This information will be particularly useful for people in the community who are at higher risk or part of vulnerable groups.
We want to make sure this sessions addresses your questions and concerns about the current state of living with COVID in WA, so please submit your questions for Professor Grant Waterer and Selena West when you register.
