Hello All! 

     Welcome to our 1st Edition of the 2023 Stay Ellavated Newsletter! I hope that your New Year is off to a wonderful start! 

     I am excited for the content we have planned this year as well as the changes to our Stay Ellavated Newsletter structure. As a change from 2022, we will no longer be publishing monthly and instead will be moving to a 6 week cycle. Every 6-7 weeks you will receive a new issue of the Stay Ellavated Newsletter alternating between our standard issue and an abridged issue(see publication schedule below). It is our hope that this continues to be an engaging resource for you to explore DEI related topics, perspectives and best practices. We are excited to bring back some of the most tactical sections of our newsletter while also working to provide you a birds eye view of what is new and exciting in the world of DEI in our shorter issues. Below is a legend of the various sections of our newsletter and what you can expect to learn under each title:

This section is an opportunity to hear directly from me on current events, newsworthy resources and what is new in the world of DEI.

The Necessary Journey
This section will allow me to share snippets, upcoming events, and chapter discussions of my new book, “The Necessary Journey: Making Real Progress on Equity and Inclusion” published by Harvard Business Review Press.

Ellavated Learning: 
This section is a deeper dive into researched based DEI related or adjacent topics that will serve as food for thought about various themes and innovative ideas.The intention is to encourage a growth mindset and satisfy a curiosity for our readers. 

Best Practices
This section is designed to provide actionable and tactical tools around DEI concepts that can be applied in the workplace and much more. 

DEI In Action 
This section highlights tips and tools to increase your organizational or personal engagement with DEI as well as a birds eye view into what other companies are doing to integrate DEI into their culture. 

Publications and Podcast
This section will highlight the various articles and publications I am featured in, contributed to or published. Including both written material and podcast productions, this section will serve as a touchpoint for the thought leadership I produce across various public platforms.

Service Spotlight
This section will highlight the various service offerings that Ellavate Solutions provides to clients.

Service Spotlight: A Look at 2022

• Hosted a successful in-person Juneteenth Benefit Celebration with donations to  G.O.O.D Projects, a local charity in Washington, D.C. and to the "Elevating Excellence in DEI Endowed Scholarship" at Spelman College.

• Launched our CEO’s first book, "The Necessary Journey: Making Real Progress on Equity and Inclusion"
