We now have some fabulous books with CD's at the library for our listening corner.  Lots of students have been coming in at break times to listen.
Titles we have so far are; Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, Snow White, Town Mouse, Country Mouse, Kaha the Kea, The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty.
Next year I will be purchasing more titles for this collection.  Watch this space!
Snow White

Check out our 'Facebook' wall in the Library
This features a different author every month.  I display a little bit of information about the author, and his/her books.  I encourage you to take books off the display and read.  This term we have had Dick King-Smith, hopefully a few of you have read some of his funny animal stories.  If not, remember him for next year.

Halloween Library Party

We had a wonderful time at our Halloween Library party.  Sue, the Children's Librarian from our city library came and helped me.  We had a 'Thriller' dance off, a funny story in our spooky tent, then lots of craft.  And lastly a few yummy treats.  If you weren't invited, don't worry, I will be having more events next year.  Perhaps it will be your turn then?

  1. Choose a book that you think you will enjoy.
  2. Read the second page.
  3. Hold up a finger for each word you are not sure of, or do not know.
  4. If there are five or more words you did not know, you should choose an easier book.
